Having sorted out his fuel contamination problems, Geoff Holt slipped his lines and left the Cape Verde Islands Tuesday morning. Writing in his blog, he says: "We had a busy morning. Ceasar had stayed until 9.00pm on Monday to ensure both engines were completely overhauled and the infected diesel removed from every pipe but he ran out of time to put everything back together again that night. Reports from the national media suggest that the Home Office has now agreed that travellers will not be obliged to give personal information when they travel, in order to ensure that the whole scheme does not fall foul of EU rules on the free movement of people within the EU.
