cadetZodiac International dealer, Seamark Nunn is kick-starting the boating season by holding an open weekend for boat enthusiasts from Saturday 4th April to Sunday 5th April at their premises in Felixstowe, Suffolk.

Running for the 4th consecutive year, the popular Spring Sale Weekend always attracts a large number of visitors wanting to see the latest crafts and marine equipment available. Amongst the boats showcased during the weekend will be a selection of crafts from Zodiac's Zoom and Cadet range.

Princess Yachts sheds jobs PDF Print E-mail

PrincessPlymouth based motor yacht builder, Princess Yachts, is to make up to 450 workers redundant, it was announced today. Chris Gates, Princess Yachts' managing director, told the BBC that a review of the whole business had been carried out to determine how to secure its future.

"We have concluded that, despite market conditions, Princess has the strength to sustain a workforce of around 1,700, a figure similar to that of 18 months ago but regrettably this will require a reduction of up to 450 employees," he said.

Cowes Classic WeekThe organisers of the Metre & Classic Keelboat Regatta are pleased to announce that the 2009 event will be held from 20th to 24th July during Cowes Classics Week.  It again links directly into the Household Division Regatta on 25th July and the Royal Yacht Squadron Regatta 26th July, both events also for qualifying keelboat classes.

The event will again be closely co-ordinated with the British Classic Yacht Club Regatta being held during the same week and to which cruising yachts smaller than 30ft have been invited for the first time.

Royal CorinthianThe Royal Corinthian Yacht Club Cowes will host the fifth Vice Admiral's Cup regatta from Friday 29 to Sunday 31 May 2009 inclusive.  Since its introduction in 2005 the Vice Admiral's Cup has gone from strength to strength with it's simple close racing format and fun social programme proving to be exactly what the customer ordered.
