It has taken him 28 days in total from his departure in Lanzarote to his arrival and his return visit to the place where his accident paralysed him 25 years ago. This is the fourth time he has sailed across the Atlantic, but the first since his accident in 1984 which left him paralysed from the chest down. He broke his neck diving into shallow water and has used a wheelchair ever since. |
