Geoff Holt arrives in TortolaHaving sailed single-handed across the Atlantic - in all aspects of sailing the yacht - Geoff arrived in Tortola to become the first quadriplegic to sail across the Atlantic. He has sailed the 2,700 mile journey across the Atlantic on a 60ft purpose built catamaran Impossible Dream, unassisted in every aspect of the sailing.  A short note on his website said: "Geoff and Impossible Dream successfully arrive in Cane Garden Bay, British Virgin Islands, thus completing his Personal Atlantic voyage."

It has taken him 28 days in total from his departure in Lanzarote to his arrival and his return visit to the place where  his accident paralysed him 25 years ago.  This is the fourth time he has sailed across the Atlantic, but the first since his accident in 1984 which left him paralysed from the chest down. He broke his neck diving into shallow water and has used a wheelchair ever since.
