We are often asked to review equipment, yachting gear, and other items that can really only be tested at sea and in use. We want our reviews to be trusted by the yachting community, and we believe that reviews should refllect real conclusions reached by experienced yachtsmen or yachtswomen using the equipment or gear under real conditions. For this reason, from 1st May 2009 we will not publish reviews unless the article in question has been thoroughly tested by one of our reviewers under normal seagoing conditions. If any of our reviewers gives a negative or equivocal review, we will invite the manufacturer for a response before publishing. We believe this is the best and fairest way of creating reviews that can be trusted by the yachting community. |
